Why we celebrate Christmas
Phebe sent me this link and I thought it is quite funny. All our hokkien-speaking (with English subtitles) friends will enjoy this.At the same time, it reminds me why we celebrate Christmas, as individuals and as a family. Christmas is ultimately not about Christmas trees, shopping, singing carols, and eating big turkey dinners. It is to remember Christ's birth.
Even as we count down to Gerald's second Christmas, I pray that he will grow up to understand the true meaning of the celebrations. We can only teach him so much and expose him to the "correct" things, in our point of view, but it is really up to him to find Jesus for himself. I also pray that God will watch over him day by day, and the Holy Spirit guard his heart, until he accepts Christ as his Lord and Saviour. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
